Maby 0.14.3 is ok to unmask? I have installed media-sound/bmpx-0.12.9-r2 here (amd64) and it is very stable, anyway using hard masked apps make my life harder, so maby it is possible to release 0.14.x and unmask bmpx?

This is what package.mask says about why bmpx is Hard Masked:

Martin Schlemmer <azarah@gentoo.org (01 Mar 2006)
Have multiple issues, and 0.13 release have segfaults (fixed in svn, but _only_ after 0.13 release although the fact was known before the 0.13 release). Either way, no bugfix release was made, and upstream was very agro about the fact that I did not still want to add the 0.13 with known issues. I dont want to maintain this anymore as working with upstream needs a lot of patience and diplomacy, and I do not have the energy any longer. I will remove it from the tree if nobody steps up shortly to take over.

These versions are outdated but quite stable (x86 2.6.16), probably about time the masks be removed and some of the newer ebuilds added.

Why is the bmpx Hard Masked? It is working very stable here (and audacity is not).

As of version bmpx-0.12.9* there is no jump option. Personally, if I were to choose a project that split off from BMP I'd choose audacious at the moment.
