I used 0.9.3 for a few weeks now and never had a single crash. My patterns are not very complicated though. The controls seem to work too, however i don't use many (just ctrl+o, ctrl+s, alt+p, alt+s )

hydrogen-0.9.3, while being streets ahead of previous version in terms of features and flexibility, is pretty unstable. Many controls don't work at all, or stop working unpredictably. And a crash every 20 minutes is to be expected. The mac version is even less reliable.
