Sorry, just read the answer to my question in the changelog. Is it possible to revert to the previous version- 1.3.0.53 and hardmask 1.3.0.53-r1 to be able to use mic?

This problem is specific to any 1.2 release. Try using 1.3 and it works fine.
However, there is a problem with the latest 1.3.53-r1 release - mic doesn't work with, whereas it works with the rest of the releases. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Try looking at gentoo-wiki.com/Skype/Installation#Troubleshooting
or just:
# cd /opt/skype/sound/
# mv hangup.wav hangup.wav_
It has also been said that running the windows version via wine works well.

I tried the stable version 1.2.0.18 and I still have the same bug.

I have a bug in Skype where I can't make two calls in a row without restarting the program. This happens almost always. I wondered if anyone has the same problem in version 1.2.0.18 since I'm using the latest unstable one 1.2.0.21-r1. Thanks.
