For those in need of a dual-pane interface, don't forget about emelFM2.

To all those ones missing browsing on samba shares, ssh, etc.. There is FUSE for that! Check out fusesmb or sshfs-fuse, this is the UNIX way. No loads of heavy libs to load, mount and cat/grep/vim/... it!

Indeed to the last post. This File Manage is easy to use and extremely fast. Does almost everything Nautilus can do but using 80% less resources and FAST. Takes only 0.5 seconds to load up on my box!

I recommend this file manager to anyone in search for one. I have hated every single one I've used in Linux because of their bulky, slow, and often unstable behavior. Finally I can use Thunar instead of doing ALL of my file management via console. (Especially useful because of quick thumbnail creation feature.)
